Do you have any funny stories to share regarding your pet? Is there anything that's a classic moment?

I've got one that immediately comes to mind regarding Purr, when she was a kitten. Most often Purr would come into the bathroom to watch me fix my hair & makeup before going out. Her usual perch was the toilet lid, which I kept down. She's just hop right up. Well, one time I forgot to put the lid down. Purr strolled into the bathroom to see me, and she jumped right in the toilet bowl. I had to fish her out, and rinse her off. There was no harm done. Now I'm very careful to keep the lid down! Laughing

My cat also fell in the toilet when he was little... he started meowing like mad at 6 o'clock in the morning... I said to myself I am going to kill this cat! And when I go to the toilet the poor kitty was half in the water on the bowl and screaming...!!! I took him out, cleaned him and kept him in bed with me for the rest of the night...

Hey, I'm glad I'm not the only one with a cat that fell into the toilet!

Here's another moment from when Purr was a kitten. She was always tipping over the trash in the bathroom, to nose around what was it it. Well, one time in the trash was an empty upright Kleenex box. Purr nosed around the box, and managed to get her head stuck in the opening. I heard a banging coming in the bathroom, and there was Purr thrashing around trying to get the box off her head. I'm sorry to say, it was so funny that instead of helping her right away, I ran for my camera to take a picture. Ok, I'm a bad mommy. After I snaped the picture, I took the box off her head. Purr was none the worse for wear. After that, I was very careful not to leave Kleenex boxes in the trash.

It's a wonder Purr survived kittenhood.

I have a BIG malamute/husky cross dog named Jordan. Last summer we found him lying on the patio floor for almost the entired day. It was kinda strange, but not really strange enough for us to really worry or anything.

Then Dad went out to talk to him, and found that he couldn't move from his spot......I got there and found him to be a bit stressed......so we went 'oh, no.......he might have had a stroke...! Shocked '

I called the vet to warn them that we may have a LARGE immobile dog, the we manouver the car around the backyard etc......

Then we found out WHY he couldn't move Shocked ......

His collar somehow got caught between the timber slat of the patio floor Rolling Eyes !

He was distressed because he needed a drink Laughing !

Smile nice stories.
here's another: when she was little, my cat liked to play with lots of stuff... including my hygienic towels!
I remember one night I came from the club (Salsa night...) and was having a late drink on the sofa with my ex-SO when she appeared from the bathroom (I had forgotten to close the door) with a box of Libresse in her mouth! She was so cute! She carried it in the living room where she started to take to towels out and chew on them before I stopped her!

That's too funny. Has anyone had their cat unroll the toilet paper in the bathroom? I've had that happen once - I've no idea what Purr was thinking!

In Japan, we have our toilets in a seperate room so I've never had the "cat in the crapper" thing! Cool

The last cat I had was a real shred cat. He loved to chew on stuff. I had bought 2 rolls of fabric to have a summer kimono(yukata) made and put them on my counter when I had to answer a phone call. I turned my back for just 3 minutes and the cat had already started sinking his fangs into one of the rolls! When I brought the fabric to the kimono shop to have my yukata made, the little old lady there unrolled the first roll, which was full of kitty fang marks(completely unuseable!) and gave me the oddest stare. I said it was my cat, but she just shook her head! Embarassed

Oh dear! I hope you still had enough fabric to make your yukata!

That was no problem! I'm tall, taller than most Japanese so I always buy 2 rolls of the fabric(it's a certain length & width) just to be safe. Needless to say, the first meter and a half of that one roll had Iro's toothmarks on it and was unuseable! Sad

OK, here's one extremely odd thing my calico cat often does to her sister, the cranky tiger. It usually happens when Pompie(tiger) is lying down and Shishka(calico) comes over wanting to play. Shishka strategically postions herself over Pompie's head(honest, when I first saw this, I thought she was gonna take a dump on her!) and then SITS ON HER HEAD! Shishka is a bit bigger than Pompie and to have someone who weighs more than you come over and sit on your head, WELL! Pompie has a fit and a catfight ensues! Have you ever seen anything like this happen between two cats? It's the funniest thing! Laughing

Purr (the grey tabby) and Blaze (the tuxedo cat) ususally start fighting the same way. One (it doesn't matter which) will come up to the other cat and start grooming her. They may groom each other, and it may go on for a while. But then one starts to get irritated and takes a shot with the paw to the other's face. And then it's on! They wrestle around for a while, and chase each other through the house. It's always over the same way, though. When Purr has enough, she stands up and stares down Blaze, who then slinks away.

Smile My cats do exactly the same, Purr! It's just that instead of using a paw, the male cat uses his fangs!
