Ok, Blaze has found a new place to sack out - the laundry basket on top of the washer. She has to jump on top of the dryer, which seems high to me (but probably not to a cat), and then hop into the basket and settle into the laundry. I've found her there a couple of times in the past few weeks. She was in the basket, lying on my sheets, for about an hour last night. I'm still trying to figure out what the attraction is.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm, it might be the smell... or the warmth and cosiness...

Come to think of it, my tomcat prefers to pee on my laundry! Shocked Shocked This is why he is no longer allowed in the bathroom! Not even when I am there... he did it in front of me once!

Maybe because the sheets smell like you... I bet your clothes end up smelling like you mixed with other smells of your daily interactions with other people and places. But your sheets are just good ole you.

I put the sheets and the dirty clothing together... I doubt "my smell" would be the reason... Smile

If I leave any clothing I've worn out on the bed or on a chair, I can be sure that Blaze will be sacking on it in short order. Wink

Sure! Cats do that! They curl on worn clothing... Smile

But why pee on it? Revenge...?!

Well, I've got 2 ideas here. One, the cat is upset with you and that's his way of letting you know. The other is that the cat really likes you, and peeing on your stuff is his way of marking you as his "territory".

I haven't considered the possibility that he would like me... Smile

It is weird...

I still think he hates the litter box when he does that (maybe it smells...)

My cat likes sleeping on the monitor of my PC. My monitor isn't mesomorphic, it has a very comfortable place to sleep on. Also it is warm there.
In winter my cat likes pulling the towels off the dryer (dryer is near the radiator) and sleeping on them (the towels are soft and the radiator is warm). Of course I scold him Evil or Very Mad and try not to forget locking the door of the bathroom when I go outdoors.

Sometimes my cat sleeps in very unusual places - for example on the one corner of the floor covering (usually he likes sleeping on the bed or something soft, for example pillow). I read somewhere that cats like places with good energy. It is advised to notice where the cat likes to sleep and put there a bed.

Our cat that lives with my brother now would pee on stuff because he was upset about the other cats in the house. I guess he liked all the attention because he does not really do it at my brothers house now being the only cat. I like the second idea better(although it is not desired). Cats think they own everything and they say cats choose the people not the people choosing the cats.

The cat is in charge now. Wink
